Mr. Janos Gradwoni started his borller business in the southern part of Hungary in 1995 since then the poultry farm has continously developed, at present he has 64.000 chickens on his farm. The old Chore-Time and Ziggity feeding system is being replaced by the modern Roxell technology which complies with EU rules.
Now the drinking and feeding system is really up-to-date, from towers Flex-Augers take the feed into the sheds, chickens eat from Roxell minimax plates. In all three sheds Dosatrons are used, chickens drink from Sparcup drinkers. Owing to the expertise and developed technology, the production figures of the boriler farm is really good. the HOTRA.CO HDC-PB computer system also helps the farmer to reach good results.
Chickens reach 2,3 kg liveweight average by 42 days. The FCR is about 1.8 -1.9 kg/kg per liveweight. If mortality is above 2%, Mr. Janos cannot be satisfeid anymore. The health status of the farm is pretty good. Chickens are vaccined via water against Bronchytis and against fowl plague. Still in the hatchery, the eggs are inoculated with Baytril and against Gumboro disease. One day old chickens are also vaccinated via spraying in the hatchery against Bronchytis and against fowl plague.

Furthermore, Farmavet products also contribute to the good results. In the first 3 weeks birds receive Farmapol Vitalyte 3 times all together. Except the time of vaccination, Janos also makes the water acid by using Bactifarm SP Liquid. The usage of acidofire on chicken farms is really in dispute in Hungary now. Janos says that acid water really helps to get more solid dung and the straw also stays drier. The soils of Hungary suffer from selenium defficienciy. Because of lack of selenium, selenium supplement is necessary. Mr. janos Gradwoni reduced the selenium consumption of chickens by reducing the strength of light int he sheds. He recelves th day-old chickens with green and blue light. On the 12 day, he switches off the green light. From the 18 day he reduces the chickens. Mr. Janos Gradwohi developes his farm despite of the low prices in the poultry sector. We wish him asuccessfull business.
